  • Assist in reviews, budgeting and other strategic processes

About You

You will be a skilled farm manager with experience working to P&Ls and managing a small team. You don’t need to be an expert in mangoes or avocados (although knowledge of those crops definitely helps), but you’ll need to be keen to learn. The business has the most respected experts in the country so you’ll definitely want to draw on their knowledge as often as you can. Things you’ll need to be able to start in the role include evidence of:

  • Your successful experiences in horticulture operations from both hands-on and management perspectives.
  • A strategic perspective on farm operations, planning, scheduling and quality, with attention to detail, compliance and areas of greatest risk.
  • Capability to carry out basic equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Farm chemical user training certificate.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office & email.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong self and time management habits.

The role is full-time-permanent and there is always plenty to be done. And, as we all know harvest is full-on so we’d want you to manage your time and energy across the year to achieve a healthy, sustainable and fulfilling work-life balance.
