Marketing and Sales Manager – Eagle Farm

Manbulloo is  Australia’s largest grower of Kensington Pride Mangoes. We also grow other varieties of mango and avocado, with an emphasis on quality and taste. Our dynamic group of passionate professionals across Northern Australia all strive for our shared goal of continually providing the best premium fruit to our Australian and export customers.

Manbulloo is currently in the process of diversifying and expanding, with new markets and innovative products being developed to further consolidate supply and sales capabilities.

About the Role

This growth has created new opportunities, including for an industry-experienced sales manager to build existing relationships, develop and expand markets & new relationships, and manage sales and marketing programs. This includes export and domestic sales of whole fresh mangoes including 3 new mango exclusive varieties, value-add products and 3 new and exclusive avocado varieties. 

The role reports to the Managing Director and is expected, after an initial period of familiarisation, to be mostly self-managed.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Take the initiative in collaboratively leading new program planning, development and execution.
  • Work with the supply chain team to plan, execute, monitor and review customers’ and suppliers’ programs and needs.
  • Liaise with the quality team to optimise quality and performance for suppliers and customers.
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with grower suppliers, and export and domestic customers.
  • Represent the business professionally to develop the brand and customer relationships.
  • Communicate market intelligence, performance, customer updates and any important information and issues in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively to develop, implement and review programs.
  • Work with the management team to develop and manage marketing budgets and sales projections.

About You

You will be an accomplished sales and marketing professional with experiences in perishable fresh foods, from production to sales. You will be:

  • Commercially astute, so you can identify and prioritise opportunities.
  • Autonomous, so you can manage your own time and activities.
  • An excellent communicator, with strong verbal and written skills.
  • Strategic, from planning, budgeting and developing a marketing plan through to identifying key markets and customers.
  • Hands-on, putting the strategy into action.
  • Consultative, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutual goals.
  • Able to travel regularly to visit suppliers and customers in different parts of Australia.
