  • Manage and communicate with packhouse supervisors and provide instructions to supervisors and other staff on daily tasks.
  • Monitor and improve the day-to-day efficiency of the packhouse in all aspects including staff, raw materials, inventory and operations.
  • Manage the delivery of raw materials (e.g. packaging).
  • Manage and monitor compliance and status of employee welfare.
  • Work with the quality team and monitor compliance with requirements of certified quality systems, customer approved supplier programs, domestic and export market access protocols.

  • The ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Be able to work comfortably within a multicultural team.
  • Have a calm, positive attitude, good communications skills and willingness to do the job efficiently and effectively.

Ideally you will also have some or all of the following:

  • Supervisory experience such as managing a factory and/or a Fruit or Vegetable packhouse.
  • Experience operating software (e.g. GP501 or similar) for the sizing of fruit
  • Experience operating traceability software (e.g. Freshtrack)
